I firmly believe makeup shouldn’t undo your skincare.
Too often, makeup clogs pores and disrupts your skin barrier, leading to breakouts. We’ve all been there. As someone who loved makeup but struggled with acne, I knew there had to be a better way.
During my scientific training at UC Berkeley, I was inspired by the Bay Area’s biotech industry and spent years researching how makeup could support — not harm — your skin. After formulating biotech-powered skincare at Biossance and makeup at L’Oréal, I developed a new approach: clinically-backed, skin-improving color cosmetics that nourish your microbiome and protect your skin barrier.
